Septima Clark Public Charter School is a free public school for boys living in the District of Columbia. Non-residents can apply and attend the school for a fee established by the Office of the State Superintendent of Education for the District of Columbia.

If you are interested in enrolling your pres, prek, K, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th grade son, please download and complete our application.   May 1- July 31, 2010	Home visits to complete paperwork     **For new Septima Clark Families only.	**Please have copies of these documents at your home. 1.Birth certificate (student) 2.Income verification (parent) 3.Residency verification (lease, electric and gas bill in parent’s name, OR DC drivers license, car registration). 4.Health Insurance card 5.Copy of Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) – If your son is currently receiving Special Education services.	·         One or two members of the staff will come to the comfort of your home to complete all the school’s paperwork and answer any questions you have about the school. ·         We will contact you to set up a time to meet.
  PreS/PreK June 7 - 11, 2010 7:00am – 3:00pm     K, 1st, 2nd June 14 – 18, 2010 7:00am – 3:00pm     3rd & 4th grade June 21 - 25, 2010 7:00am – 3:00pm	Mandatory Paperwork Completion     **Current Families and New Families   Old School Location 425 Chesapeake St., SE	1.     Bring the following documents completed. a.     Health Certificate (completed and signed by your doctor) b.     Oral Health Form (completed and signed by your dentist) c.     Income verification (parent)	·         We will make copies of your documents to create your son’s Student Record.
  August 21, 2010 Saturday     11:00am – 1:00pm	Mandatory School Orientation   **All Families Attend   New School Location 2501 MLK Ave., SE (Birney ES)	MEET YOUR SON’S TEACHERS   1.     Meet teachers, learn about school’s expectations, join the PTO, sign up for the mandatory parent workshops.   2.     Complete purchase of school uniform shirts. (CASH ONLY)	Meet faculty and staff; learn about school’s expectations; receive your Parent Handbook; finalize purchase of school uniform shirts.
  August 23, 2010 Monday   7:30am School Starts	FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL   1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th Grades	No documentation required.   Students must be in full uniform or they will be sent home. Bring school supplies.	·         7:30am sharp School Starts. ·         Students can arrive between 7:15 and 7:30am.
  August 25, 2010 Wednesday   7:30am School Starts	FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL   Pres, Prek, K Grades	No documentation required.   Students must be in full uniform or they will be sent home. Bring school supplies.	·         7:30am sharp arrival. ·         Students can arrive between 7:15 and 7:30am.
